GrosMarket is the Cash&Carry of the Sogegross Group operating in the food and non-food retail market for professionals in the horeca sector (restaurants, cafes, hotels, etc.) and for grocers (grocery sector, gastronomy, bakeries, etc.). The 22 stores, located in Liguria, Piedmont, Lombardy, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, are open to professional customers and VAT holders.
GrosMarket Project
For some years, GrosMarket offered an in-store service that allowed customers to make reservations and collect their shopping. However, this was not a service built for e-commerce, and it was time for GrosMarket to align with market demands.
In 2021 GrosMarket partnered with Digitelematica to design a new e-commerce platform and an app with the goal of providing a service designed specifically for professionals. This project is an opportunity for businesses to shop online easily and without stress. The aim of GrosMarket was also to design an up to date online catalog to allow customers to research the complete products section and enable employees to manage orders in an efficient and practical way.
Finally, a fundamental requirement for GrosMarket was to provide to their customers, even less experienced ones, a better and more intuitive navigation experience on the new e-commerce platform.
Our Plan
Through our flexible Marketsuite solution we were able from the start to design a new e-commerce platform with a full service approach and digital experience dedicated to professionals and the B2B world. For the study of the UI and the creative and graphic aspects we were supported by TLC Web Solutions Agency of Genoa.
On the website grosmarket.it and through the app “GrosMarket Cash&Carry”, it is possible to log in by registering your loyalty card which can be collected directly at the store.The shopping navigation system is easy and intuitive. Once you load your cart with the items needed, you can choose between two different delivery methods: one is the Delivery option, through which the shopping order is delivered directly to your business activity (reserved for professionals) and the second is the Click&Collect method, available to loyalty card holders which allows you to collect the shopping at the point of sale during the selected time slot..
Implemented solutions
- A Mobile app for registered users.
- Dedicated access for GrosMarket consultants (Horeca Accounts) to enable order entry for their customers.
- Opportunity to implement customised price lists for each customer registered in the system.
- Management of overdue payments, with the opportunity to pay online.
The entire interface is studied to manage sales of packaging materials and retail.
Results
The newborn project is already being used by thousands of professionals, improving their everyday life.
